Margaret Faliano (she/her) is a citizen of the Chippewa Cree Nation of Montana that grew up an urban Native in the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from the University of Oregon Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Business Administration, B.S. in International Studies, Certificate in Global Business, and minors in Spanish & Psychology.
Margaret is currently an Advocacy & Engagement Campaign Manager for IllumiNative: a Native, women-led nonprofit that builds power for Indian Country by uplifting contemporary Native voices, stories, and movements on a national scale. She has had a hand in numerous narrative change and strategy trainings to advance the equity and self-determination of Native peoples and various BIPOC groups.
Though a Campaign Manager, Margaret is a passionate model, singer, and writer with a creative eye for design. She is an avid explorer and advocate of travel to hone in one’s cultural competency and understanding of the world. As an urban Native, Margaret has always yearned to see accurate and contemporary Indigenous representation in society, especially in politics, media, and fashion.
